Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
- Set up and operate Amada Press Brakes (mandatory experience required).
- Confidently operate CNC press brakes and work efficiently to meet production targets.
- Experience with Salvagnini panel bending is desirable but not essential.
Quality Control:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to produce accurate components.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections throughout production to ensure quality.
- Conduct first-off inspections for your own and team members’ work.
Documentation and Maintenance:
- Accurately complete all production paperwork.
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation, ensuring machines are cleaned at the end of each shift.
Collaboration and Mentorship:
- Work effectively in a team environment to meet deadlines and maintain production flow.
- Mentor apprentices by sharing knowledge and demonstrating best practices.
Additional Skills:
- A Forklift Truck license is desirable but not required.
- Suggest and contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
Pay and Schedule:
Pay Range:
£14.50–£16.75 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
Schedule:
Minimum 40 hours per week, with 10-hour night shifts..
