Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Laser/Punch Press Operator to join our nightshift. Key Responsibilities & Requirements: Setting and operation of our 3kW Fibre Laser or one of three Amada CNC Turret Punches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting punch tools as required.
- Maintain programs within the machine, eliminating programming errors.
- Forward plan and load plan for daily production requirements.
- Communicate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing process.
- Operate relevant machinery and tools in a safe manner.
- Maintain high standards and quality of work.
- Inspect parts for defects as part of the in-process inspection procedure.
- Record all results, adjust program or notify appropriate person of deviation when needed. Upkeep of a clean and organised working area.
Experience:
- CNC Turret Punch Operator: 1 year (required)
- Competent Laser Operator: 1 year (required)
Pay and Schedule:
Pay Range:
£680 – £780 per week plus overtime
Schedule:
Minimum 40 hours per week with 10-hour night shifts.
