Apprenticeships at Greenfield Engineering

Your career in precision engineering starts with real work, real mentorship, and real progression. Not just a qualification — a future.`

Apprenticeships are an excellent way for young people to enter the workplace

Whilst continuing with formal education, plus gaining valuable qualifications and receiving high quality training using some of the most advanced technologies in the UK sheet metal industry.

Greenfield apprentices spend four days a week in the workplace working with experienced sheet metal engineers using cutting edge manufacturing equipment. On the fifth day the student will be required to attend day release at a local college. The apprenticeship programme is managed in conjunction with a training coordinator using EAL (Excellence, Achievement and Learning) as the awarding body.

Each apprentice is issued with a training rotation framework where they spend up to 12 weeks working with skilled mentors continually being assessed in each of the core engineering disciplines of the manufacturing processes. Including the programming, setting and operation.

Greenfield as a company believes strongly in investing in our staff, continually looking to expand our skill base. Therefore we are extremely proud of our apprentices and the training programme that we offer. In fact in the last 6 years our training/apprenticeship scheme has produced no fewer than 6 Apprentice of the Year awards!
