To develop, implement, and maintain the company’s health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and to co-ordinate and deliver training to promote a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and enforce health & safety policies and procedures.
- Apprentice training reviews and assessments.
- Conduct periodic shopfloor audits, inspections, across departments to identify potential hazards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to employees when required.
- Maintain accident and incident records and report to relevant authorities if required.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of emergency response plans.
- Control and maintain the company’s training matrix with production manager.
- Support internal audits and assist with external auditor.
- Monitor and report on KPIs related to Health & Safety.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management meetings.
- Monthly meeting with the Operations Director.
- Maintain documentation and records to be always audit ready
- Promote a positive safety culture that drives initiatives that improve operational performance.
- Coordinating and updating risk assessments, ensuring clear understanding from the team.
- Stay up-to-date on industry safety trends, best practises, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
- Professional qualification such as a NEBOSH General certificate or equivalent
- A minimum level 3 CIPD qualification (desired)
- Proven ability to develop and deliver effective training programs
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a health, safety & training role ideally in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Pay and Schedule:
Pay Range:
£35,000 – £40,000 per annum
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday, 08.00 – 17.00
Friday 08.00 – 14.00
Holidays:
28 days, including bank holidays
