Forklift Truck Driver
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Forklift Truck Driver to support the safe and efficient movement of materials across our manufacturing sites. The ideal candidate will have practical forklift experience, good awareness of safe working practices, and a responsible approach to handling stock, materials, and finished goods. This is an important hands-on role, helping to maintain workflow, support production activity, keep areas organised, and ensure materials are moved safely, accurately, and on time.

Core Responsibilities
- Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently to move materials, components, and finished goods around the site.
- Load, unload, store, and issue materials in line with production requirements, delivery schedules, and site procedures.
- Check goods, paperwork, and locations accurately to help maintain stock control and reduce handling errors.
- Support production areas by ensuring materials are available when needed and finished goods are moved promptly.
- Follow safe working practices, maintain good housekeeping, and report any issues with equipment, materials, or site safety.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Valid forklift truck licence or certification, with previous experience operating forklifts in a comparable environment.
- Good awareness of health and safety, manual handling, and the safe movement of materials in a busy workplace.
- A reliable, organised, and practical approach, with the ability to work accurately and support production needs.
Desirable
- Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Knowledge of stock control, goods-in, despatch, material handling, or warehouse processes.
- Experience operating different types of forklift truck or handling large, heavy, or awkward materials safely.
