Quality Engineer
About the Role
Due to continued growth and new contracts, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong manufacturing background to join the team at Greenfield Engineering. The quality engineer role will oversee and work with teams at both our manufacturing sites. Further development of our procedures end-to -end to drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce the opportunities for defects.

Core Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections, tests, and audits on products and manufacturing processes.
- Take responsibility for recording, progressing, communicating with customers, and closing off issues that have arisen using 8D and other problem-solving techniques.
- To be heavily involved in training, mentoring, and the education of staff and apprentices on quality control best practices.
- Identifying defects and implement corrective and preventative action within the team (CAPA)
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to drive improvements in quality performance.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook etc)
- Proactive attitude towards problem-solving and process improvements.
- Conscientious and responsible
Desirable
- HNC in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent qualification
- ISO qualified Lead Auditor
- A proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.
