Quality Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-focused Quality Technician to join our team and support the continued development of quality standards across the business. The ideal candidate will have practical experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment, with a strong understanding of inspection, problem-solving, and process improvement. This is an important role, helping to maintain product quality, support customer requirements, investigate issues, and drive improvements across production and quality processes.

Total: 39.5 hrs/week

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the inspection, investigation, and resolution of quality issues to ensure products meet customer and internal requirements.
  • Work with production teams to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent repeat quality concerns.
  • Maintain and improve quality documentation, inspection records, procedures, and related process controls.
  • Assist with customer, supplier, and internal quality requirements, including non-conformance reporting and improvement actions.
  • Promote a quality-focused approach across the business through clear communication, practical support, and continuous improvement activity.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively with production teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence working with technical information, drawings, and specifications.
  • Previous experience with basic measuring tools such as Digital calipers, height gauge and pin gauges.

Desirable

  • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, 8D reporting, PPAP, FMEA, or other structured quality tools.
  • Experience within sheet metal fabrication, precision engineering, or a similar technical manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in a quality, inspection, manufacturing, or engineering role with a good understanding of quality standards and processes.
