Welder/ Fabricator - Nightshift
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Welder to join our production team and support the effective running of our nightshift. The ideal candidate will have practical MIG welding experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment, together with a good understanding of engineering drawings, quality standards and safe working practices.
This is an important hands-on role producing accurate, high-quality welded components while helping to maintain an efficient, well-organised and safe nightshift operation.

Core Responsibilities
- • Carry out MIG welding of fabricated sheet-metal components in line with drawings, specifications and production requirements.
- • Use welding equipment safely and effectively, ensuring settings and consumables are suitable for each job.
- • Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions and quality requirements accurately.
- • Complete in-process quality checks so weld appearance, strength and overall finish meet the required standard.
- • Raise concerns relating to material, fit-up, welding quality, equipment or production priorities promptly.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- • Previous MIG welding experience within a manufacturing, fabrication or engineering environment.
- • A practical, quality-focused approach with good attention to detail.
- • Reliable and self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively as part of a nightshift team.
Desirable
- • TIG welding experience.
- • Experience working with thin-gauge sheet metal or fabricated components.
- • Experience welding mild steel, stainless steel or aluminium.
